課程宗旨：

本門課的設計宗旨在於協助學生透過跨學科的思考路徑，進入文化研究的經典論著與核心議題。我們將探討的面向區分為三大單元：

1. 有關文化的問題：文化的符號詮釋、書寫的權威、儀式表演的行動節奏、階級與殖民

2. 有關現代性與社會的問題：社會與意識型態、現代理性與權力、商品戀物、社會集體表徵、知識論與社會科學

3. 有關主體與慾望的問題：語言、修辭、論述與再現；共同體與歷史的想像；集體、個體與無意識；性別、認同、身體政治；視覺文化、影像與詮釋
